The Hudson Car Club is a FREE online club for Hudson, Essex, & Terraplane enthusiasts, hobbyists, and car owners. Club interest encompasses all vehicles wearing the Hudson name, from the early days of Hudson Motor Car Company through its waning days as an element within American Motors.

Founded in 1909, Hudson Motors has been out of business longer than it operated. But that isn’t stopping enthusiasts of the marque (and its Essex and Terraplane affiliates) from celebrating its centennial. Hudson was featured at the 13th-annual Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show on June 7 (www.ypsiautoheritage.org), and that’s only a prelude to what’s planned for the annual meet of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane (HET) Club in Detroit, July 13-17.

Eldon Hostetler’s dream of a home for his Hudson car collection has finally come true. Eldon is the owner of 46 restored Hudson cars, which will be displayed in the Hudson museum located in Shipshewana’s New Town Center.

Thirteen years ago, Jack Miller of Ypsilanti, Mich., had an idea. Why not have a car show dedicated to all those brands no longer built or sold in the United States? Mr. Miller, a lifelong car nut, rented nearby Riverside Park, charged $5 admission and the show just sort of happened. This year's show was held on Sunday.

EDUC, Alta. — It could be said that Ryan Ankney’s blood is Type H — in reference to his zealous fascination with the Hudson automobile, particularly the Hornet models. While growing up, Ankney “rode many a mile” in his dad’s Hudsons, which were bought new, off the dealer’s lot.
